Comment: Came across the site tonight, what a beautiful job! I was sad to see that my childhood home (the MQ Sharpe house) had been destroyed by arson.

Comment: Looking forward to visiting a place that bears my last name. No idea as to if I am a descendant but I am looking forward to seeing South Dakota. My mothers family lived there but left during the Great Deppresion. Thank you for your historic preservation.

Comment: Anna and EB Taft are my great grandparents, my grandfather married their daughter Jewel and my dad and his siblings were raised in this hotel for a time, I believe in the 1920's. I'm so sorry the building burned before I ever got to visit. Thanks for this wonderful information about Fort Hale and Hotel Taft, part of my ancestral history! Appreciate it very much.
